12:00Arrive at Kawaguchiko from Tokyo by highway!
Arrive at Kawaguchiko in about 90 minutes from Tokyo! Seeing the magnificent Mt. Fuji, I really felt like I was in Yamanashi Prefecture. We arrived a little early, so we had Hoto, a Yamanashi specialty, for lunch and went for a lake drive ♪ There was also a beautiful lakeside lawn park near the cottage!
15:00Check-in
After relaxing a bit at the park, it’s finally time for the villa! We easily found it by its distinct red and blue building. Self check-in using the code sent by email beforehand! It was so easy! We put our luggage down and explored outside and inside the room ♪
16:00Grocery shopping for BBQ!
The shopping mall is only a 3-minute drive away, very convenient ♪ There was also a home center, so we bought fireworks ♪ We also bought necessary items at the 100-yen shop and pharmacy.
17:00Enjoy elegant BBQ on the private balcony ♪
We rented a BBQ grill and had a BBQ ♪ It’s a gas grill, so no charcoal or cleaning is needed, which is great! The space is private, so we could enjoy ourselves without worries.
While the meat was grilling, the kids were having a blast in the living room, they looked like they were having so much fun!
We ate until we were full and were completely satisfied! BBQ in a natural environment is the best! The kids were still full of energy and enjoyed sparklers. Fireworks are allowed in the gravel area!
20:00Relaxing time in the room ~ Kids enjoy the movie theater ~
Back in the room, we finally relaxed. There’s a loop projector in the second-floor bedroom, so we decided to watch a movie! I almost fell asleep right there…
While the kids were watching a movie, Dad went to the bath…! Relaxed in the jacuzzi bath, stretching out his legs, pure bliss.
07:00Relaxing morning while gazing at Mt. Fuji
Woke up to the morning sun and went out to the balcony! Enjoyed the view of Mt. Fuji and fully experienced nature. A refreshing start to the day, the best beginning!
09:00Easy breakfast in the kitchen. Relaxed breakfast with family
Returned to the facility and enjoyed a leisurely coffee time on the balcony ♪ There was delicious Mt. Fuji coffee available as room service.
10:00 Play a bit in the garden, and take one last commemorative photo ♪
We booked the 10:00 shuttle and were dropped off at the Fujikyu Highland Expressway Bus Stop! The fun time was fleeting. We plan to have plenty of fun at Highland today ♪
We were healed by nature and enjoyed a relaxed family time. I was impressed by the high degree of freedom of a private villa. Seeing everyone’s smiles made it the best memory!
